Goldendoodle History
The Goldendoodle is a Hybrid dog, meaning the cross of 2 purebred dogs of differing breeds; the Golden Retriever and the Poodle. They are considered an excellent family companion due to their intelligent, easy going manner and eager to please personality. They are also excellent bird dogs.

We offer various patterns including a solid color, the tuxedo, and the phantom.

By crossing the Golden Retriever, a dog plagued with inherited health problems and shedding, with a Poodle, another wonderful dog, you maximize genetic diversity and create a healthy non-shedding hypoallergenic Hybrid.
Our Goldendoodle parents have been hand selected for their optimum health. We have had several generations of health tested dogs from champion lines.

We strive for not only exceptional personalities, but for optimum health in our Goldendoodle breeding program. We have done both DNA genetic testing through VetGen labs, and testing for hip & elbow dysplasia through Orthopedic Foundation For Animals (OFA). 
Our AKC Golden Retriever line has been in my family for more than 35 years. My mother was a breeder for over 30 years and started the line prior to myself by purchasing only dogs from health tested parents for several generations. As a breeder of purebred Golden Retrievers, she continued testing their eyes (CERF-Now OFA), hips (OFA), elbows (OFA), thyroid, and heart as these are all issues that plague the Purebred Golden Retriever.

A dog that is diagnosed with hip dysplasia can require surgery costing thousands or be so severe they have to be put to sleep. This can devistate a family both financially and emotionally.

Many health issues do not appear until a dog is 2-3 years of age, for this reason, we give a 36 month health guarantee with our Goldendoodle puppies.

Our foundation dogs to our Goldendoodle breeding program are Sophie and Rocco listed above and on our parents page; listing everything they were tested for. Both have since crossed over the rainbow bridge, but were two of the most amazing dogs.

Sophie and Rocco are the parents or grandparents to all of our mama Goldendoodles; both had an exceptional personality, extensive health testing and excellent pedigrees.

Rocco was a champion in confirmation, Sophie’s grandfather was a champion in confirmation, she has master hunts as well.
